Microsoft’s Github Experiment - A Hint to the company’s new vision

Hello viewers , hope you have been enjoying the preceding politico-ecnomico posts . Now I am bringing some exciting stuff for the Tech lovers . Yes , you guessed it right i am talking about Github’s whooping 7.5 Billion dollar acquirement by Microsoft . The deal which made a huge storm in the industry  . 7.5 Billion dollar is a hell lot of money , it is 30x the revenue of GitHub .

So why did Microsoft make such a move ?? Lets analyse this question with another question - what really GitHub is ?? For all the viewers from the non coding and programming background , GitHub is a version control platform that connects  people from various parts from the world working in similar projects , thus not only saving time and resources but also improving the working of the new version by a diverse set of opinions. In short a platform where developers interact and have a community of their own . Microsoft acquiring something of this sort hints us that the company is trying to make a big leap in the terms of developer based applications , and things like Visual Studio  and other open source software will start coming up more often . They are gonna restrict themselves to this one thing that really made Microsoft what it really is . They are now investing less in hardware and more in software . This was expected after the sad demise of Microsoft lumia.

This move just indicates , and is a good news for computer engineers and programmers , that the future is sure to be dominated by this fraternity , and Microsoft thinks making applications , software , and other developer tools is the potential market of the future . This move also hints us that Microsoft is trying to scale up the limits of Azure , The Microsoft Cloud Service .

According to me this vision of theirs is very apt and is gonna take the company to greater heights as they have understood the future market and the trend very well . The company is trying to inhibit its primitive vision of creating developer tools , the main forte and specialisation of Microsoft . But still the people in the industry are not very sure of this move because of prior failed investment like Nokia .

" But I strongly feel the company has undergone a tectonic shift under the leadership of Satya Nadella, and have made great investments like Linkedin and now Github .. So lets wait and watch how this one turn out …… "

The decision to keep diesel, petrol prices high is bad economics and bad politics A few months ago, when the government decided to not alter the tax component in diesel and petrol prices, despite the beginning of the surge in their prices; the argument of building up revenue pool made economic logic. According to the finance ministry's  revenue collection projection , the government expects to mop up more than Rs 2.579 lakh crore by levying taxes on the petroleum products by the end of this fiscal. This is a massive jump from the gross revenue collection of around Rs 88,600 crore in 2013/14, in the last fiscal the collection was Rs 2.016 Lakh Crore. These collections stabilized the fluctuating GST collections in the indirect tax kitty. But now, when the international petrol and diesel prices are surging and the Indian currency is depreciating, these revenues are becoming a bone of contention. Given the circumstances, should the government hold these taxes? And is the...

Fuel cell vs Electric Car...... Battle For Road

We have recently witnessed an increase in electric cars around the globe . The change may not be quite visible in India but in developed economies , this change  is very significant . For instance , in America the average sales of electric car went up by 25 percent in year 2018. Still with so much coverage given to electric cars , automobile giants are up to research on some thing else... guess what ! fuel cell cars . Yes the same fuel cell which we studied in high school, the cell which used to use hydrogen as a source of energy and release steam as output. Isn't it fascinating. Recently Toyota and Nissan have launched their FCV(Fuel Cell Vehicle) in the market and the Japanese Government is planning to build robust infrastructure for hydrogen stations across the country. This gives us an insight that we have two options to run our car from ? What are we gonna chose !! The fuel Cell Vehicle uses hydrogen to run the car and since hydrogen is a very important industry gas , t...

Suppp guys this is Kanav . This is my second blog on this platform. Lets start IPL News: CSK's downfall has started?? So today is CSK v/s GT, last years final match. GT has played quite well. Both the openers hit centuries today and  hit  the ball quite hard. Sai Sudarshan scored 103 in 51 balls and Gill scored 104 in 55.They both hit 27 boundaries in total. Both batsmen played fabulously. GT has a set a target of 231.Its an above average score and it will be interesting to see what CSK will do about it. Subhuman Gill, after not scoring good runs in almost every match, has finally scored a century! GT have not been in great form though. They have lost their last 3 matches and are at the bottom of the table .Under Shubman Gill's leadership the team entered a downfall..Even though they won't be coming in the playoffs, after this match they will save some face. As for CSK , bowling could've been better. Tushar Deshpande took out both the openers in the 18th over , otherwi...
