Conspiracy Theory#1: Were the pyramids built by aliens? The real history that debunks the conspiracy

I know it sounds crazy at first but when I started reading more and more about them, then I understood why ppl believed in these theories.

Pyramidss.. What wonderful structures. More than 50 pyramids still stand in Egypt. From the oldest – the step pyramid of Djoser, erected during the Third Dynasty in the 27th century BC – the period of pyramid building lasted around a millennium, and the structures took many forms. They could be made of mud brick or limestone, stepped or with smooth white casing. These pyramids have lasted over 4,000 years. What really fascinates me is that did rlly, humans, over 4000 years earlier, with no technological resources, build massive 139 meter pyramids? Let's read analyse this and try to understand what really happened.

Were the pyramids built by aliens? The conspiracy theory

So basically the theory is that the pyramids were not the result of years of hard work by the native Egyptians, instead they were built by aliens or aliens told the Egyptians how to make them.

It is, to this date, unclear how ppl in the ancient times boasted such massive monuments. Similar credit was given to Atlantic City (The city underwater). We still haven't discovered how it was made, who made it and when was it made. Due to its level of surreality, there are many conspiracy theories made.

A common claim is that the pyramids were built by slaves.  Joyce Tyldesley, Egyptologist at the University of Manchester has said that The Bible suggests that the Egyptians enslaved the Israelites, and classical authors visiting Egypt recorded that slaves must have been used. But if you came from a civilisation that used slaves, like Greece or Rome, you’re probably going to assume any massive monument was built by slaves,”. He also said that the slaves were native to Egypt and were not brought from other countries.

What is the source of the 'pyramids built by aliens' theory?

Pyramids have existed for a long period of time. In the 1800's many ppl started writing fictional books, indirectly presenting their theories. Over a period of time these theories started to stick. “I would say it really develops after HG Wells publishes The War of the Worlds in 1897. This starts a run of sci-fi books,” says Professor Tyldesley.

"There’s one in particular in 1898, Edison’s Conquest of Mars [by American astronomer and writer Garrett P Serviss], which reveals that the Great Pyramid and the Sphinx are Martian constructions. It’s not supposed to be a serious book; it’s fiction. But this idea that someone from outside Earth might have visited Egypt and built the pyramids took hold.”

In 1968, the Swiss author Erich von Däniken published his bestselling book, Chariots of the Gods? Unsolved Mysteries of the Past, which went a long way in popularising the theory that ancient astronauts visited Earth, were welcomed as gods, and greatly influenced the cultures, religions, technologies and, of course, architecture of ancient civilisations.

The reasons why the theory took hold

The reasons why this theory took hold are that in earlier times prejudice and racism was quite prevalent in the ppl. They were reluctant to believe that an ancient civilization like in case of the Mesoamerican Pyramids, Central America could build such fascinating structures. So the theory of aliens making them took hold.

“It’s not appreciating the skills and abilities of the people of the past because we have sufficient evidence to show that these people could do this type of building,” says Professor Tyldesley. “But I think there’s more to it than that. Prior to the idea of aliens helping to build the pyramids, we had the idea that people from Atlantis might have helped, and prior to that we had the idea that God inspired the builders.”

The evidence that debunks the conspiracy

The existence of a limestone quarry near to the site of the Great Pyramid, plus evidence of the camp sites for the workers, reveals how extensive the project would have been. “We have evidence of how they were fed and for the cemeteries where they were buried,” adds Professor Tyldesley. But it is only in the past 50 to 70 years that our understanding of pyramid building has made significant strides, which for a long time left a vacuum in which conspiracy theories were able to take root. Egyptologists, archaeologists and historians could do more, according to Professor Tyldesley, to present the evidence and a credible alternative to the idea of alien visitors.

Hope yall like this one :)

Football a Global Phenomenon - Brand Fifa

Hi people , last night I was watching this game between Mexico and Germany . Hell of a thriller it was . Well I am not a sports columnist , so I will refrain myself from going into the details of the match ( provided of the fact , am so desperate to talk about it :-) ) . While spectating the match , I saw something bigger , something more gripping than the constant counter attacks   . There was something that caught my attention apart from the game . Yes , I am talking about the millions of fans and spectators around the globe . The emotions and drama associated with the viewers all acrossss the world . Why are people so much attached to this game ??? Okay , one possible reason that comes to our mind is patriotism , just the fact that your country is playing out there , and you want to see your nation lifting the trophy on this grand stage . But , there are around 1.03 Billion people out there , who are mad about this sport , I guess everybody’s country aint have qualifieded f...

The Recent Political Drift in Jammu And Kashmir

Today was a shocking day for all political enthusiasts as BJP backed out from the coalition government with PDP in J&K. Before discussing the political turmoil of today, I would like to enlighten all my readers with the current assembly seat distribution of J&K. PDP-28 seats  BJP -25 seats NC(National Congress) -15 seats INC(Indian National Congress) - 12 seats The seats required for majority = 44 seats and the current coalition was effectively making 53 seats (BJP + PDP). But now the scenario has changed, but let's see the possible reasons because of which BJP backed out of the coalition. Reason 1-Terror is on rise and BJP doesn't want to be a part of a failed coalition. But these issues are not valid enough because they were exiting since last year so why backing out now ...... I guess something is fishy.  Reason 2- As soon as BJP backed out, CM Mufti resigned from her post giving clear signals that an alternative government with NC and INC is not ...
